The buffallo arrived,
diamonds firmly in place.
That not so beatific happydent smile,
barely disguising its wickedness or guile.
The buffalo arrived,
with every street corner painted blue.
Loads of effort and tonnes of money wasted,
to ensure that all in the city cd have her view.
The buffalo arrived,
promising social justice & reservations
to expand its constituency
and add to her name, new appellations.
The buffalo arrived, roared, moo-ed and departed,
life for the city stopped
and then re-started!

Think this is a brilliant piece of poetry - v clever with the mix of the animal and the lady incharge...
Reminds me of my days in Assam with the creatures competing with speed breakers slowing us down.
Incidentally, the wild buffalo is part of the big 5 in an African Safari and supposedly quite wild and the "beauty's" face is splashed on all souvenirs.
It takes one brilliant man to recognise anothers' talent!!
me too wants to do the african safari one day..
